Search does not preserve search string

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Search 'cat'
  2. Clear search input (but do not perform actual search)
  3. Switch to page 2

Problem:
The page content does not update upon switching to another page. If you type something into search input but does not click search button, page switching will search the new string.
