Sanguine Amulet Ritual Not Working

I had the ritual set up like in the image (but with the items in the book ofc) I have done this ritual about 4 times and it still is not working for me. The first time I did it the symbol popped up and it stole my items but I didn't get the amulet (most likely because i didn't set up the zombies the first time), the other three times it took my potion and burnt out. The final time I did it went exactly like the first time. What am I doing wrong?
Zombies will not work for the ritual, as they do not provide "living hearts"
