Hello @Zalamancer,
I think you downloaded the add-on using a non recommended way, namely the "Code" button of GitHub (tell me if I'm wrong though). You should use a release zip instead! If the error persists, make sure you fully removed the previously installed one before installing the correct version.

in cmd use this :
"C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 2.93\2.93\python\bin\python.exe" -m pip install lxml
It worked for me.
