Stuff to figure out:
- From an browser extension: Extract content from a page and search another page
- How to do this in a smart phone browser - Notifications?
- Tell users that this page is supported?
- Tell users that you got results on i.e. FINN
- Do an OR-search on specs from IKEA page
- What kind of taxonomy does FINN have on their products
- Grab geo-position of users device - use for searching within area (not state/county, but actual radius from where you are)
- Which HTML tags on IKEA's page that are easiest to extract, no matter which product you are on.
- GDPR: What can we do and what shouldn't we do. What do we need to tell the users.
- What items/goods is this a good service for?
- Products that sells a lot, stays the same over time, doesn't get very worn over time. I.e. Ikea-stuff. But what other things could it be used for? Clothes, cars, electronics?
- How to get enough people to install the extension? One way is to add more than one classified service. In Norway maybe Tise + FINN + ??
Make some quick mockups - create a presentation:
- Basic idea
- More indepth idea: Why it may work very well for both the consumers, FINN and IKEA
- How an easy and simple implementation could be (OR-search on title and description from IKEA)
Basic idea:
- Tell me if this product is available used
- IKEA - more realistic environmet friendly approach than greenwashing. Own part of the used sale market
- FINN - Fewer, more qualified buyers on each product. Sellers are not fighting so much to be one of the top 10 results.
- Get request to check if any used products available
- Notification
- Link to the search results
