Duplicate Pools - Resolved By Removing Plugin Config Line

I've been using this in a Play 2.3.10 application and I noticed that the pools were being initialised twice - using twice as many connections as I anticipated. I've not really been able to figure out why, but removing the 200:com.edulify.play.hikaricp.HikariCPPlugin entry from the play.plugins file seems to have stopped the duplication and resolved my problem but it seems contrary to the instructions. Have you any ideas about what might be going on?
