Using the backslash character in your states' name creates a cascading menu item(?)

This was odd. I just noticed that using a "/" character when naming a state in the states palette causes this kind of cascading menu in Sketch...
In the image above the highlighted symbol was originally named GREY selected w/icon. The collection of GREY symbols we made by selecting all the states in the palette that comprised the various states I wanted to use as symbols and then creating them as a Page.
It actually would be great to use this for creating "folders" of symbols as I will have an awful lot of them in this particular document...but I can't figure out how to control it. =^(
OK, I did figure out how to use it: simply use the same prefix for every state that you want to have grouped in the cascading menu. For example, I named my 4 button states as follows...
Button /DEF
Button /HOV
Button /CLK + SEL
Button /DIS
...and voila! This is how they appear in the Insert Symbols menu...
I'm new to Sketch so if this is already a known functionality, please don't troll me too hard.
