[Feature] Gives the luminence of the theme as an argument to the -o script

Absobel opened this issue · comments

I want to be able to set certain theme for my application according to whether my pywal theme is light or dark because in certain cases I don't want to use pywal colors but actual theme that exists for my apps

I may be able to check the code and make a pr myself but I'll just make an issue for now

I'm trying to work around this issue too.
The best idea I have so far is to compare the foreground and background colors in the "-o" script and ask which is brighter. If foreground (background) is brighter, then assume its dark (light) mode.

Any other work arounds?

I ended up computing the luminence myself from the colors given by pywal in a bash script. I lost it however (my computer broke) so I don't remember how I did it exactly
