no rotary encoder on the 40-key version?

...is there one on the 36-key version (and can you add some pics of it pls!)?

I didn’t include any rotary encoders on the 40-key bc I thought I wouldn’t have enough pins after the larger key matrix. However, I believe there is still enough to add one back if you’d like! You could just steal a few lines of code from the 20-key firmware files.

I don't have any pics of the 36 bc I’ve actually never built it. Someone requested the case files so I just made them really quick and uploaded them. They are making it now, so maybe they can provide some pics when they finish. It’s the same as the 40, just with the outside pinky columns cut off.

Speaking of which… that would make it 34 keys, not 36. I’ll have to change that.

But yeah, on the 34 key version, you might actually have enough pins to add back both rotary encoders if you wanted.

gotcha, thanks. maybe the 34 is the move then....

btw here are some pics of the 34-key build someone is working on right now.

If you do make one, please let me know what you think about the case design especially. This person didn't want to use a usb-c breakout board so they modified the case a bit to put the controller on top. If the angled corner is an issue for people I think I am going go remove it, just to make things easier.

nice, thanks! i will for sure

would you mind if I "attempt" to design a pcb for us crazy people who want one?

a PCB would be amazing. I have actually been wishing I had one for awhile now, but idk how to make them. If you've got the skills, go for it!
