No release since 2018?

I just saw there was no new releases since 2018, is this project abandoned?
There's recent commits and git tags for more recent releases.
I came to ask the same thing. On Pypi the latest is Nov 23, 2018. If I install via pip install ntfy it installs version 2.7.0 as denoted in __init.py__. The version on github is 2.7.1 according to __init__.py.
Is there a way to make pip get the one here in a way that is compatible with pipreqs and pip install -r requirements.txt? Or better yet could the release on Pypi be updated?
The Quickstart in the Readme.rst suggests installing via pip which installs the 2018 version.
