What does `HEAPPROFILE ` do?

Hi, in the https://github.com/dmlc/ps-lite/blob/master/tests/local.sh, I notice we need set the export HEAPPROFILE=./W${i}, I wonder what does HEAPPROFILE do? Why we need it?
