Regular Twitter failing to load with OldTwitter installed
memmam opened this issue · comments
Describe the bug
When OldTwitter is installed, Twitter will sometimes fail to load tweets, or fail to load the page with a 'Something went wrong, but don’t fret — it’s not your fault.' error. Clicking the Refresh button on the error page resolves the issue, but the issue will recur if you refresh with Ctrl+R. Additionally, when using OldTwitter, '?failedScript=vendor' will often, but not always, be appended to the URL, which may be related.
Screenshots
Comparing console logs when OldTwitter is enabled/disabled reveal significant differences, most of which seem related to content security policies, cookie issues, NetworkErrors, et cetera. Most of these discrepancies, as well as the problem behavior, persist even when I disable all other extensions. I am not including these due to concerns about privacy, but I would be willing to provide them privately.
Browser
Firefox Developer Edition 127.0b6
Issue also occurs on Firefox 126.0.1

OldTwitter version
1.8.4.5 1.8.4
Correction, I think I'm on 1.8.4? it says 'last version 1.8.4.5' but it says my version is 1.8.4, I think I misinterpreted that initially (I thought it was saying that I was on 1.8.4 as a major release and 1.8.4.5 as a minor release, you may want to make that wording more clear). OldTwitter on Firefox Addons also reports as being version 1.8.4. Whoops.
