Challenge solver timeout and no images loading on Edge

jonbarrow opened this issue · comments

Describe the bug
When enabled no images load and the console is flooded with solver timeouts and failed image loads. I'm unsure if this is entirely related to this extension however. When disabling the extension and trying to access https://twitter.com normally I am redirected to https://x.com with a generic "something went wrong" error, forcing me to use https://x.com/x/migrate to actually use the site. However images only begin to fail to load, and the solver timing out, when the extension is enabled.

you need to finish migration to xcom

you need to finish migration to xcom

I'm not sure what you mean? As stated I have gone to https://x.com/x/migrate, which ends up sending me back to https://twitter.com and I am able to use Twitter normally without the extension enabled. But after this redirect there is no further "migration" being asked for, and I can't find any other sources online saying there's any manual migration I'd have to do? If there's another link for this migration, I can't find it anywhere. All the results when searching for "Twitter x migration" are either news articles about the name/domain change, or developer docs for migrations. Nothing about account migrations.

Also finishing some migration doesn't seem to be the actual fix here? I later found https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/why-cant-i-access-x-twitter-using-edge/fce744c3-e176-4aed-9f80-424d70e5692b which links to https://www.askvg.com/fix-twitter-x-website-not-opening-in-firefox-and-ms-edge/, mentioning that you have to disable tracking prevention it seems?

Doing so did fix the mentioned issues, I was able to visit Twitter with no issues both with and without the extension, but is clearly not a great solution. With tracking prevention enabled the following occurs:

It's not possible for it to be fixed if tracking prevention blocks these

I guess it should be mentioned somewhere then that the extension won't work in Edge at the moment withou disabling that

I am having the same issue on firefox
