What made you decide to use Alacritty?

As opposed to Kitty?
Alacritty popped up in my feed a long time ago. They said it has a fast performance, simplistic, and custom configuration. I tried it, it worked well and fit in my needs. I haven't tried Kitty but I think they have similiar advantages.
