Burndown line: account for new cards that are being added while the sprint is running

Shouldn't the burndown line also acknowledge new cards that are being added in the middle of a sprint?? I know that normally this shouldn't be the case as it should only be done during the sprint planning meeting, but what if we're faster as expected??
Currently, the "ideal estimate" line just increases if a new card is being added to the sprint backlog. My idea would be to just "increase" the ideal burndown line at the day the card was added and not the entire line. In this way one would exactly see that during the sprint something has been added.
What do you think about that?
