Bluetooth controller does not respond (rpi4, Retropie 4.8, Yabasanshiro 3.3.1)

On Retropie 4.8 on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Yabasanshiro 3.3.1 built from source, playing with my USB gamepad works well but playing with my Wii U Pro Controller does not. The gamepad is detected by Yabasanshiro but no keypress is detected. I can't even configure it. Actually once I try to map a button, Yabasanshiro gets stuck there waiting for a button press and I have to hard reboot the Pi 4.
Note that this gamepad works well in other emulators or in lr cores.
