Clear cache causes freeze of application

Describe the bug
With the latest version of the tool, I am unsure if the local cache is used at all now from looking at the changelog, but the clear cache button causes the tool to freeze. Windows asks should I close the window or wait for it to respond but it never responds.

To Reproduce
With an existing cache from previous versions, open the latest version and click the clear cache button.
