[FIXED]: Internet disconnection after 5-10 mins

lazerwolf22 opened this issue · comments

RESOLVED:

The issue was the addition of Pi-hole query rate-limiting by default with a recent update. The rate limit is set to allow no more than 1000 queries per 60 seconds. The limit us quickly reached using this mod. If you use a Pi-hole, to resolve it you need to edit /etc/pihole/pihole-FTL.conf and add the line RATE_LIMIT=0/0 or if already present change the values to 0/0. This fixes the issue in this case.

Thank you for your work!

Try disabling IPv6, worked for me.

I was about to say "I never have that enabled!" But uhh... somehow it was enabled :)

Can you open maps.google.com without issue?
I see from the log that there are issue when accessing google.

Google Maps always works fine. Mod still broken.

[Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed over and over again.

That looks like your DNS server is throttling you.... You could try setting 8.8.8.8 as your DNS server in your network settings and see if that helps.

Yes, your connection issue looks different: time-outs. That's not your DNS indeed. Frankly that could be anywhere, from your own pc to your router, your ISP or even the peering contracts they have. Without some in-depth analysis I can't tell you where the issue lies.

Oh, it's Mr. ;-)

Sorry, if you sending from the phone, I can't see the attachment. Please post it here.

I think it is being replaced by Google maps. However, there is a delay in reading. It went offline due to the fact that it has a narrow bandwidth in a hair-trigger way.
