After listening for a while, i feel like it would be awesome if i was able to connect this with my sonos or other speaker systems. Or at least have a naitive app so the audio doesn't stop whenever i quit mobile safari

I didn't try it with Safari on iPhone but if you open it on Chrome it doesn't stop even if your Chrome goes in the background. I might make an app in the future. Since it was just a weekend project for me, it might take a few weeks to get the apps to the stores.

@debugger22 This is wonderful! I love the idea from @developerace as well - Would you be interested in registering the site for the DIAL specification (http://www.dial-multiscreen.org/dial-registry/apps)? This would enable the site to be streamed to second-screen devices, such as a Chromecast, Roku, or any other device with DIAL support.

I may be wrong, but it does appear that filling out the form is the only requirement for basic app registrations.

@ramiabraham Thank you for the appreciation! I'll read more about it and get back to you.

The music also stops whenever i put my phone to sleep. In case that's relevant.

@developerace We're talking about iPhone right?

@debugger22 yes. iPhone 6, iOS 10.0.2

http://electron.atom.io/#get-started would be another good option for building something native.

Try nativefier "http://github.audio"

https://www.npmjs.com/package/nativefier

Lemme know if that works

^ it works at least for mac :)

i was thinking more along the lines of using something like this (http://musicpartners.sonos.com/?q=docs) to allow streaming to sonos speakers... (there are probably other API's for other wireless speaker systems)

^ i know the songs app uses third-party integrations such as pandora and spotify. maybe you can make a "pro" version of github audio where people can stream to songs or other places for a small monthly fee?
