txt files don't appear in search?

Hi. I've used .txt extensions with my markdown files since forever (mostly so I can edit them even with apps that know nothing about markdown), so I was very happy to find this plugin for Obsidian. Thanks!
However, I've noticed that Obsidian search doesn't seem to find anything in .txt files. Is this something that can be addressed via the plugin?
I just noticed this myself! Hopefully there is an easy fix.
