It doesn't. It says liter [length] ** 3
, which is volume ([length] ** 2
being area), because litre is defined in terms of centimetres, which is a unit of length.
Your problem is trying to convert volume to mass, which makes no sense without density.
Use fluid ounces (floz
) instead.
