What is the principle algorithm behind the software?

We are writing a paper about animal action recognition and using DarkLabel to label bbox. DarkLabel is very fast and useful.
I want to ask which principle algorithm behind DarkLabel so that we can explain it clearly in the paper. Faster RCNN? or others.
