Linux Zip would be nice

Rar files are kinda finicky when it comes to linux.
tl/dr: install p7zip-rar (debian) & use 7z x file.rar
i use 7zip and i always blindly typed 7z x foo.bar when i wanted to unpack something which isn't a tar file.
this failed with .rar files, the contents were listed but not unpacked. after installing p7zip-rar it works.
