chaining multiple transform styles to an element do not all get applied to the element

I'm trying to apply multiple transform, i.e translate, rotate, skew, to a html element but only the last one is getting applied to the element, also when I try to place the styles in css files, only the one in d3 is getting applied to the element.

When asking for help, please include a link to demonstrate the issue, preferably as an Observable notebook. It is often impossible to debug from code snippets alone.
