`bicycle_parking=informal` is not rendered

Bicycle parkings tagged with amenity=bicycle_parking and bicycle_parking=informal are not rendered.
Indeed, not rendered at the moment.

Why is the exact type of the bicycle parking relevant, for rendering?
Shouldn't all amenity=bicycle_parking be rendered the same?
It is not like they are currently rendered differently based on the actual type.
We do have differentiated render based on whether a parking is private or not and secure or not. So far, the only bicycle parkings shown are ones that should be trustworthy (in terms of number of slots displayed and equipment present).
OSM wiki has a warning about the informal tag value, stating that a lot of appreciation is expected from the tagger. This is not an objective tag as would be the other ones.
If it was widely used, there should be no concern. With a bit over 1k use worlwide, I think it is not worth the performance and design (specific icon) penalty.
It's interesting. It seems that I was wrong and informal bicycle parkings are rendered but only if they are tagged on nodes. But they are not rendered on ways:

Are bicycle_parking amenitys tagged on ways, not nodes, rendered? Or they are not currently rendered at all regardless of the bicycle_parking type?
True, we do support them on points and polygons but not on ways.
It might be worth rendering them but I have no idea for a reasonable design :/
