This set of templates allows you to quickly set up a pretty standard rails environment with a few nifty options. This is a “soup-to-nuts” setup, at least if you use the build_server.sh script…
Super Stack makes extensive use of the authlogic_bundle and app_lego template setups. Take a look at them for dependency issues. (Though we’ll install all dependencies anyway.)
If you have a brand new Ubuntu (or other Debian-based distro) install:
$ curl http://github.com/cyberkni/super_stack/raw/master/build_server.sh > build_server.sh && chmod 755 build_server.sh && ./build_server.sh $ rails <your-app> -m http://github.com/cyberkni/super_stack/raw/master/templates/remote.rb
If you want to start a new rails app and already have your server all set up:
$ rails <your-app> -m http://github.com/cyberkni/super_stack/raw/master/templates/remote.rb
If you have an existing rails app (and likely already have your server set up ‘just so’):
$ cd <your-app> $ git submodule add git://github.com/cyberkni/super_stack.git vendor/plugins/super_stack $ rake rails:template LOCATION=vendor/plugins/super_stack/templates/base.rb
