@danfowler feedback here is appreciated, or if you wanna tackle any of the following let me know

  • should we re-use this design/template? I am ok with it personally
  • change the first section, this can be where we announce the venue, location, and link to the call for proposals section
  • update content/redesign the 2nd section (with the 3 round logos). this is the section that should explain the conference?
  • remove the speaker list and replace it with information about the call for proposals
  • we can maybe feature photos from the last one somewhere http://lanyrd.com/2014/csv-conf/coverage/ ?

@maxogden

  • Love the design template, good to keep.
  • Will update by the end of this week to the new venue, dates.
  • Need to think a bit more about what this section says, but probably good to keep for now and change when we come up with something better/relevant for 2016
  • I'd like to move the speaker/presentation lists to a new page (perhaps /2014/). Will replace with cfp
  • Looking for photos from lanyrd, but can't find any: Flickr has these: https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=csvconf edit: this is a nice one to point to: https://imgur.com/KZmZbH5

I think it would be a cool idea to drive the site from the presentations and schedule (and maybe adding speakers) CSV files directly as Jekyll supports this: http://jekyllrb.com/docs/datafiles/

I am bit stretched with time right now, but I love to do crazy things with Jekyll and have written a few Jekyll plugins. What is pretty standard in Jekyll now is the csv or yml data files that @danfowler mentioned, and have worked with this a little bit.
