Additionally, it would be very convenient for me personally if the configure script did not use an opt-out style of enabling options, but an opt-in style, so that anything optional is only enabled if explicitly asked for.
Using an opt-in style makes it much easier for users of coturn to understand at a glance what features are being compiled into their build.
My $dayjob, for example, does not use any of the user database modules, but has been running coturn with all of them enabled for years without realizing it. Only after coturn was handed off to me did the use of the database modules get discovered.
