Hey πŸ‘‹

I love what contentlayer is aiming to do. As the author of https://github.com/NotionX/react-notion-x, I'm intimately familiar with Notion's content layer (both official and unofficial APIs).

I'd be happy to help with adding support for Notion as a content source, but would likely want to have a quick sync convo before getting started. @schickling feel free to DM me if you want to chat about this.

Either way, one of the most important decisions will be whether to use:

At first glance, it may seem like using the official Notion API is an obvious choice, but it's still missing a lot of features, so it really depends on the use case.

Thanks so much for your nice message @transitive-bullshit! I'll most certainly get in touch once work on the Notion integration kicks off - would love to collaborate on this! πŸ™Œ

Isn't the Notion integration being worked on anymore?

I think the Notion integration would be brilliant. Finger's crossed it's still in the works 🀞

We aren't actively working directly on Notion support right now. However, we are spending time this month exploring how we can add new content sources at a faster rate, and how we may be able to open up development to the community. I will update here and in Discord accordingly.

Hi, I started the development of the Notion implementation as it starts to be a requirement for me.
Here is the PR : #393

The Notion content source plugin has been released in Alpha. It is still in experimental and is subject to change.
If you want to give it a try, you can find the documentation in the PR description #393

Feedback and bug reports are greatly appreciated!

And if you need help, I am available on the Official Contentlayer Discord
