"Maximize editor space" leaves some space unused

In the kata trainer view, there is the "Maximize Editor Space" button (next to the VIM/EMACS mode buttons), which is supposed to (presumably) present more compact IDE view. Upon clicking, some elements above the trainer do indeed become hidden, but instead of stretching the trainer simply shifts up, leaving some free space at the bottom:
System: Win11 + Opera and Edge (but other users using different browsers observed the same behavior).
