codescan cannot focus/sharpen on iphone 13 after update to 15.5

I'm using codescan cn1lib for QR scan and all app users with iphone 13 after iOS update to 15.5 have troubles to scan smaller QRs (2x2cm, which they used to scan on daily basis with previous versions of iphone/iOS)
Some older iphone model do not have this problem after update to 15.5. (we tested 6 and SE).
The problem probably is that iphone 13 after iOS update to 15.5 is not able to sharpen/focus the QR as you can see in this video. There is comparison of scanning QR using camera app and our app with codescan lib.

This doesn't necessarily provide a fix, but it suggests that 15.5 has some known issues with the camera.

And hopefully Apple will fix them soon. It does suggest a few things to try, and it would be interesting to know if any of them help.
this does not help. Iphone as-is does not have problem to scan those small QRs. Only codescan does not work.
I created new app only with codescan with default setting. It works on iphone SE with iOS 15.5. but not on iphone 13 with iOS 15.5. Other scanner apps including the built-in works ok in iphone 13.
