Re-re-organize google folders/files...?

I hesitate to suggest this because I don't know how to avoid the same thing happening again.

So I reorganized the google shared folder to make more sense for the project where it currently is. Then some ghost folders and files came back to life. I'm not sure which ones they are or how to get a historical view of where/when the files were to easily restore them to their beautifully organized state, but they're a mess now. So they need to be organized again and this time it'll be harder because there are duplicates, etc.

Thing is, I don't know how this happened in the first place, so I don't know how to avoid it in the future, and it's a pain to do. So. Not sure what to do with that.
