Improve backward compatibility to support Gingerbread and higher.
Useful stats of platform version distribution: http://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/index.html - adding support for Gingerbread will increase the potential userbase from ~40% to ~80%.
Now runs on Gingerbread. There is probably a ton of UI bugs, however.
