ignore tags

Could we get an option to ignore tags altogether when running metaedit? When I go to edit, all I want is to update elements in my front matter, but I have a bunch of tags in the document which I don't ever want to change through this plugin.

Or, potentially be able to use wildcards/ regex in the ignore properties, so I could ignore:
#.*
for example to ignore any tags.

Thanks for this plugin- I use it every day.
