Actual Results

  • Cal Video is used

Expected Results

  • The default conferencing app of user should be used ( Zoom in this case )

It appears the issue where Cal Video is used instead of Zoom for your meetings, despite Zoom being set as the default conferencing app, might be due to the system's fallback mechanism. This mechanism activates when there's an issue creating a meeting with the chosen video conferencing app, defaulting to Cal Video. This could happen for several reasons, such as configuration issues with Zoom, token expiration, or API errors.

When you set a new default conferencing app but opt out of the bulk update for existing events, those events retain their original "select location" setting. If a client books one of these events and an error occurs while attempting to create a meeting with Zoom, the system defaults to Cal Video.

To address this, ensure your Zoom app is correctly configured and enabled. Also, check for any error messages that might indicate why meeting creation with Zoom fails. Accepting the bulk update option when changing your default conferencing app can also ensure all events are updated accordingly, potentially avoiding this fallback to Cal Video.
