Layout does not work with the latest commit (d5cf6a094e)

Hi, thank you for awesome Version Cake.
When I use 1.3.0, the render works great with the layout.
But when I used the latest version (d5cf6a0), I found that layout is ignored.

Please see a sample rails at https://github.com/untidy-hair/versioncake_jbuilder.
First I encountered this with rabl, so I tried jbuilder and the result was the same.
I'm actually newbie to Version Cake so I'm sorry if I'm missing something.

Thanks for the report @untidy-hair! This is a very interesting use case, I don't think I've tried to version a layout file 😃. I'll take a look and see if we can get to the bottom of this.

@untidy-hair Can you try again using the latest master? I believe I identified the issue here d060e1d.

Also, thank you very much for adding an example application to reproduce the problem-it was very helpful!
