Gradle example broken

The gradle example seems to be broken.
Current Behavior
make example-gradle-pipeline appears to fail.
Steps to Reproduce
make example-gradle-pipeline
@bradbeck FWIW, this is working locally for me and I was able to verify the image and attestation.
