Template successfully created alarms and sns topic. All alarms are in state INSUFFICIENT DATA. Is this the expected state or should the state be OK until the billing threshold is exceeded?
That is normal. Alarms in the INSUFFICENT DATA state until enough metric data has been gathered to determine the state of the alarm. The most common reason is that CW gathers metrics on a 5-minute polling interval. Should be good to go once the 5-minutes have elapsed.
