Problem: wikidot is out of maintanace

Solution: Migrate the zguide to hugo and netlify as we did with the zeromq.org and rfc.

amazing, can we somehow make it one long page? and maybe we have to make a redirect from page:all to /

amazing work, really :)

One long page would be possible.

Loading one long page does take quite a while though, because all examples for all languages are loaded hidden and are displayed on demand.

Yes there are a lot of redirect rules missing.

Fantastic, thank you so much - the less we need wikidot, the happier I am

@somdoron IMO is the migrated zguide ready to go.

When you got time you'll need to add it to your netlify account where we also have zeromq.org and rfc.zeromq.org and then migrate the url zguide.zeromq.org.

Here's the most recent preview:

No I can't :(, only @hintjens has the owner permissions for the organization.

Can you add me to your netlify organization?

I'll try to contact github and see if they can make me owner of the organization. If that does not work we can fork the repositories to the zeromq community.

Regarding Netlify, we should apply for the Open Source Plan:
https://www.netlify.com/legal/open-source-policy/

That allows to add unlimited team members and has Pro plan features.

@somdoron any news regarding the netlify Open Source Plan?

we don't have a code of conduct :(

We also need to fulfill all of the requirement:

  • Features a Code of Conduct at the top level directory of the project repository or prominently in the documentation (with a link in the navigation, footer, or homepage).
  • Must feature a link to our service on your main page, or all internal pages. You have two options:
  1. We have premade badges for your convenience, or
  2. You may create your own link, which should read “This site is powered by Netlify”, and include a link back to our home page.

we don't have a code of conduct :(

We have C4 - we should extend it in that regard

The link is an easy fix. I'll take care of it.

Regarding the Code of Conduct I'll make write down a proposal based on C4.

@somdoron is there anything left to do in preparation to apply for the Netlify Open Source Plan?

@somdoron any news reading netlify?

Sorry, I will submit the request today
