add a service role

@tbranyen suggested at our standup today that it would be helpful to have a service role showing how to make an upstart daemon / nginx upstream / etc. Quite a few of our projects using this template have had to roll their own solution.
Ideally this would be a simple node app that lives at a subpage of the site, and does something fun, maybe with websockets?
