Dead click (but not really!) when clicking OP profile while composing reply

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. When composing a reply, click OPs profile photo.
2. Nothing seems to happen. OK, not ideal with dead clicks, but no big deal.
3. Finish or cancel composing reply.
4. Now you are on OPs profile, and clicking back requires as many clicks as you did on OPs profile in the first place (i.e a stack of say 5 profiles was created)

Expected behavior

On 4. I expected to not be on OPs profile, since my experience in 2. was a dead click.

On 2. I expected a "do you wish to continue"-dialog rather than a seemingly dead click.
