Github as downloading platform is a Catch 22

I was trying to download a better browser on my mac with El Capitan.
But the thing is, the browsers on the machine don't support Github properly, so the download page is basically rendered empty.
This means you have to have a newer machine to install this on the old one, a catch22.
Maybe the download links can be made available as a direct link to the ZIP in de description in the readme.md

iirc if you view page source you should be able to get to the underlying link even with JS completely disabled

You can use an "expanded assets" link and it always results in a simple HTML page: https://github.com/blueboxd/chromium-legacy/releases/expanded_assets/1211971

El Capo is what version again?

I'm on 10.9.5 and using Waterfox G3.2.5-osxfix (cf. aeiouaeiouaeiouaeiouaeiouaeiou/waterfox-osx#13 - not sure why I'm nog using 3.2.7!). Most sites still work fine with that browser; Firefox continued to support 10.9.5 longer (and newer OS versions even longer) than Chromium did.

(In fact, extensions don't crash "all the time" in Waterfox so it's my daily driver and Chromium Legacy the fallback for when I need an up-to-date browser. I was a FF user anyway.)

(Oh, hey Mr Many Vowels :) )

Seems like waterfox g3 is forked from firefox 78 (not sure what's the benefit of using waterfox over mainline firefox, xul extension support? Although if you want that then seamonkey, palemoon, and other projects might be better suited).

When I mentioned Waterfox above, github still worked OK in it. They've now managed to break the view of at least the "code" page, but the releases page (https://github.com/blueboxd/chromium-legacy/releases/) still works.
