[BUG] missing text caret in text boxes

Describe the bug
The flashing caret that indicates where you're typing doesn't show up

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Expected behavior
A flashing caret would appear

This is an upstream bug I think, I've run into the same issue on official chrome

Well I don't have a more recent installation of macOS or another Mac to test it on so...

I have seen this on many school computers running official Chrome. Definitely an upstream bug.

In addition to being an upstream bug, this has also been fixed. (I'm admittedly not sure exactly when, but it was a while ago.)
