YAML clarification

"Dataview queries are now YAML-based..."
Does this mean that only front-matter will be supported (vs inline syntax)?
Existing inline syntax will still function - this refers to The Dataview Query Language, which is being replaced with a visual editor (that becomes YAML codeblocks in the background, so they can still be copy-pasted).
