A way to hide images

It can be annoying if someone pastes an animated gif or whatever into your channel. It would be neat to provide a small UI, say a little icon that appears in the image on hover, which will hide the image and put a small placeholder you can click to show the image again.
WIP on the hide-images branch. It causes some glitches so we want to work those out first.
