Describe the bug
When Bluetooth is active and BT devices are near, the sound will typically be extemely unstable, flipping from the BT to the BT pseudo to I guess nothing or a powered off sound device. It's impossible to switch anything back to the default MBP speakers. It's not a good bug.

Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour (feel free to change the placeholder as you need):
Connect some Airpod pros (in my case)
Use the sound from websites, in brave or firefox
No sounds, sometimes available to select another device, which they grays out as not available or muted, even for the built in and wired speakers. Super frustrating.
Expected behaviour
Sounds would play via MBP speakers (through EQ app too)

Setup information:
MPB speakers, Airpod pro in case, but in range.
BUILT IN
Absolute latest version of NON BETA - 14.5 (23F79)
Absolute latest version, of NON BETA - 1.8.7 5.2.3 and 5.08 in that order
see above

Screenshots or Console.app logs
Console seems to have no logs with "eq" in them unless it's !eq

Additional information
Neat product and really an awful problem that started about this week (been installed and a PRO subscriber for 10 or so days before this started happening). No weird software running, very very few non-apple devices anywhere near, MBP 16 Apple M1 Pro Silicon Version.

The fact is that eqMac doesn't work well with BT audio devices especially when changing source. It starts crackling, breaking, finally stops playing sound. Sometimes reset system ausio helps but in most cases only full system restart makes it back to work correctly. Untill you change uotput again of course.

Not able to reproduce/encounter over the last months.

@jdrumheller how do you "connect some airpod pros" inside the case?
When the case is closed, I cannot connect via bluetooth (not even manually), so it is not shown in the audio menu.
A connection is only possible when the case is open, but without sound. A sound is only heard when you take the AirPods out of the case.

Setup information:
MacStudio, Mac13,1; macOS 14.5 (23F79)
App: 1.8.7, Driver 2.5.3, UI 5.1.3
using external headphones
available AirPods Pro 2.Gen

Any Bluetooth device has this bug. When my AirPod pro 2.0 are in the case, how would I know if sound is playing through them?? If I connect a more public BT soundbar, I have tried putting my AirPods in the case just to attempt to minimize interference.

I've switched to the beta version as an attempt to resolve the current issue, but I might have to change how I eq things and stop paying for this one. It looks nice, it worked great with the built in speakers, and sometimes I can get it to stay with a pseudo device the whole time whithout issue. I think I've even had it playing through the regular device (no pseudo), but I can't seem to find how I got there.

Being able to customize the colors and icon color would be nice! :)
