Describe the bug
Install process fails with "need to install license Mgmt". Referenced 'Sugar' resources. I followed the link and installed the iLok license Mgmt. Now I get "activation required" from iLok...but I don't have this product or credentials. I tried the "create new account" button, but no dialogs or browser redirection so unable to activate this app. There were no prompts to restart after installs. I tried multiple remove/installs with mixed results. I was finally able to get eqMac to run (and interact with UI) but there was no effect on audio with UI changes. Then, it prompted to install a driver for system audio, which I did. The result is that the audio was very, very poor and intermittent with continual connection issues. In System/Audio/Devices the interface flashed repeatedly and led to continual dropouts. When eqMac was quit audio connection was fine and heard sound with no loss of quality. I followed the faq hints/tips with restarts, etc.

Steps to Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour (feel free to change the placeholder as you need):

  1. Run installer

Expected behaviour
I expect I can easily install the software for testing. This process seems to be somewhat convoluted, requiring 3rd party licensing apps. I do not have any of these problems installing/using SoundSource.

Setup information:

  • Audio device used for playback: AirPod Max
  • Audio transmission interface: Bluetooth
  • macOS Version: Sonoma 14.3.1
  • Mac M1 Studio Max 64gb 32 core
  • eqMac UI Version [e.g. 0.0.4] (if UI related issue)

I was able to solve this problem, but took a lot of research and digging. I was able to get eqMac successfully installed and bought a license. Works great!
