Given that @bitemyapp has started a translations cycle, our dear overlord will have to use his iron grasp on how these are to be coordinated. Creating this issue for bundling up several opinions on what is necessary, when necessary.

I have started the greek translation effort here, on the learnhaskell-greek branch of the fork.

@irrequietus this is a good idea and it works for me.

/cc @doppioslash

I've started the german one here :)

Indeed :)
I've started the italian one here.

@jhedev @doppioslash excellent stuff people! Is there anybody working on a Japanese version? cc @bitemyapp

Starting the French translation here

Starting the Spanish translation here

Starting the Turkish translation here.

@irrequietus nobody's working on the Japanese version TMK. I didn't ping Julie because I didn't want to distract her from the book.

@bitemyapp not a problem!

I'll start the Japanese translation. Actually I tried it in several months ago.

I've started working on the Traditional Chinese version here with common diction in Taiwan. The locale code for Chinese are zh_location in convention. For example, zh_TW, zh_HK, and zh_CN for Simplified Chinese, etc.

As there do exist some differences in commonly-used phrases, I named the file as guide-zh_tw.md to better clarify the purpose.

started Polish translation here

I'll start the Simplified Chinese translation.

I've finished russian translation here #76

Could I translate this guide in Korean?

@steelbear by all means, please do!
