So that I can create try to mimic your build environment.

I am able to build python code in fedora 29.

I use pipenv, and I include the pipenv.lock file in the repo... it's Python, and my dependencies are not very huge. I develop on macOS, but run it on FreeBSD, Debian/Ubuntu Linux and macOS.

What errors are you having?
