Unable to install BBB on Ubuntu 20.04

Could someone please tell me if there is a workaround for this?

root@Grieg:/home/rmoore/Install/bbb-install# wget -qO- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bigbluebutton/bbb-install/v2.7.x-release/bbb-install.sh | bash -s -- -w -v -s myserver.org -e info@example.com
bbb-install: This script can only install BigBlueButton 2.7 and is meant to be run on Ubuntu 20.04 (focal) server.
root@Grieg:/home/rmoore/Install/bbb-install# lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
Release: 20.04
Codename: focal

Why can't I install on Ubuntu desktop? I can use nmtui to set my static IP address there on my bare metal server, but setting a static IP address is much harder on an Ubuntu Server. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi @john1726

First time I see this No LSB modules are available. on a BBB candidate server. I searched friefly and found the following (which I have not tried)

https://itslinuxfoss.com/fix-no-lsb-modules-available/

$ sudo apt install lsb-core

Would you consider trying it out? In bbb-install.sh we parse the output of the lsb_release command to confirm the Ubuntu version. Alternatively, if you're certain your OS etc match the requirements, you could wget the bbb-install script, comment out that check in the script, save and re-run locally passing all the arguments from your original command.
Please let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the quick reply, antobinary! I have installed lsb-core but bbb-install is still complaining that it cannot find bbb-html5 and bigbluebutton:
