Nix package doesn't let me verify even with correct password.

Bug description
When I try to unlock the screen on Fedora v36 (using the nix package) it does not let me and says Login Failed! each and every time. This works as expected when downloading the binary manually from github.
Steps to reproduce
- Use Fedora v36
- Install betterlockscreen using
nix-env -i betterlockscreen
- Lock screen with
betterlockscreen -l
- Attempt password verification
- No worky

As we are just using i3lock-color
(bash-wrapper setting options) I would suggest to report it there, even I think it is system/configuration-related. Is it started as the correct user? Did you verify keyboard-layout is correct?
